Nkyinkyim Museum offers a variety of programs designed for learners of all ages to engage in academics, creativity, and healing. Our programs are offered daily, on weekends, and during school vacations. We collaborate with schools and organizations to provide consulting, professional development, and team-building activities. Advanced registration is encouraged.
Independent artists and researchers are invited to apply for an on site residency stay. Residents fully immerse themselves into the museum environment through knowledge sharing and cultural exchange with our staff and through engaging in communal labor, dining and Night Life.
We partner with schools to design and facilitate curricular and co-curricular programming and field trips focused on African history and heritage, arts and culture, and restorative practices and dialogue.
Industrial attachment is a short-term, practical training program that allows students to apply acquired knowledge
Our Apprenticeship Program recruits talented visual artists to learn with our Creative Department at Nkyinkyim Museum. Hosted by Osramba Studios, Apprentices graduate with practical skills in sculpting, casting, and welding.
Our Griot Training program enrolls promising creatives and orators into our year long training. Successful graduates of our program are invited to take on Griot duties at Nkyinkyim Museum.
Nkyinkyim Museum is a registered International Baccalaureate CAS site. IB school groups from across Africa and around the world are invited to participate in day trips or overnight stays for a meaningful CAS experience.
We offer customized Restorative Practices consulting for schools and organizations in the areas of non-violent communication, organizational culture, community building, circle practices, and restorative dialogue.
We offer customized Intercultural Communication workshops for schools and organizations, building capacity for effective communication, collaboration, and team-building in diverse workplace settings.
Our Community-Based Art Therapy sessions are rooted in a holistic, culturally grounded approach to healing, using facilitated artmaking as a tool for individual and group-based exploration and expression. Individual Community-Based Art Therapy sessions start at 200 GHC. Group discounts are available.
Free Drumming and Dance workshops are offered every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Join us for cultural immersion and indigenous knowledge exchange through the use of drum, dance, and song. All are welcome!
Host your church retreat at the Nkyinkyim Museum grounds. Facilities rentals start at 5000 GHC per day.
